The aims of this study were determine the (1) prevalence an LSTV in young presenting pain and a group asymptomatic volunteers, (2) effect on spinopelvic characteristics, (3) presence low back LSTV. Methods: This cross-sectional included 102 pathology 51 volunteers (mean age, 33.9 ± 7.3 years; mean body mass index, 26.0 5.0 kg/m2; 57.5% female). Participants underwent radiographic assessment lumbar spine pelvis standing deep-seated positions. occurrence was classified according Castellvi system. Spinopelvic characteristics lordosis (including segmental angles), pelvic tilt, flexion (pelvic-femoral angle). Differences between values calculated. Low assessed using Oswestry Disability Index. Results: type ?II 8.5%, no difference (p = 0.386). Individuals had greater L1-L5 angle (mean, 51.6° 11.7° versus 38.9° 9.3°; p < 0.001). overall spinal (change L1-S1 positions) individuals similar that without LSTV; restricted L5-S1 mobility compensated for at L1-L2 (10.2° 5.8° those 8.4° 4.1° 0.070). No significant found 0.250). Conclusions: An 8.5% adults, controls. have lordosis, altered mechanics cephalad adjacent level, which may predispose these degenerative changes level.
